Literary Magnetic Poetry Kits

“Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.”

It’s Friday the 13th today and I felt the best way to mark the occasion is with some Edgar Allan Poe. I found all the regular trinkets online – hats, t-shirts, coffee mugs. But this literary magnetic poetry kit stood out above all. It’s playful, interactive, and dark as hell.

Creep out your coworkers with mysterious phrases on the common fridge. Creep out your kids with freaky messages on the home fridge. Hell, creep yourself out.

Side note: I don’t typically listen to audiobooks (I would rather read), but I do have a complete collection of EA Poe short stories on CD (yes, it’s that old) narrated by Vincent Price. It’s the best

I do know that these kits make great gifts. I’ve had one and loved it. And I gave a kit to my cousin years ago and she said it was one of her favorite gifts that year. So, there’s that.

Why we love it

As I write this, it’s Friday the 13th. The EA Poe kit is a perfect salute to this auspicious date. And I love Poe’s short stories. I had a magnetic love poetry kits a long time ago and my husband and I would leave messages for each other on the fridge. Love this gift.

Where we found it

Being Friday the 13th, I did a search on gifts related to EA Poe. Among the many coffee mugs and t-shirts, I found the absolute PERFECT EA Poe-related gift.
